Where we shoot!
We are very fortunate in the Association to have access to either our own, privately owned land or access to land with sole shooting rights. Members currently shoot over 1050 acres, 130 of which are owned by the club.
In general terms the shooting rights we have follow the southern bank of the river Nene between the Eastern side of Peterborough and the Eastern side of Whittlesey. This would include Stanground Wash, Whittlesey High Wash which follows the route of the North Bank on the Nene and certain parts of Whittlesey Low Wash which are to the East of the Thorney to Whittlesey road.
Further to the East from Whittlesey we have an area of farm land around Bassenhally, together with a conservation area at Bassenhally Pits.
Travelling East we then have uninterrupted shooting along the South Barrier Bank between Mortons Leam and the Counter Drain. This piece of ground is approximately 200 yards wide at some points and approximately seven miles in length. This area offers about 270 acres of shooting.
There are strategic access points to all areas of the Association shooting grounds and you are never more than a few yards from your sport!

Membership Details
Membership of the WW&C is renewable annually and all renewals are due by 31st May each year so we know how many new members can join. The membership of the Association includes, within the subscription, full annual membership of BASC. Full details of what benefits this offers our members can be found on the BASC website.
The membership levels within the Association stays reasonably constant with only limited places for potential new members. Applications can be made at anytime during the year but applicants should be aware that these applications will only be considered by the Membership Secretary after membership renewals from the current members have been administered.
The Membership Secretary is contactable via the form below and will be happy to discuss the first steps in the application process, though this does not guarantee acceptance. Once a 'new member' membership on-line form has been completed it will be fully scrutinised, references taken up and an interview arranged before any offer of membership will be considered.
NOTE: Under 18s may join without a shotgun certificate (SGC) to get involved and gain experience, but 18s and over must hold a current SGC to become a member. Guest tickets are available so members can take out their shooting or non-shooting guests, or their children, to enjoy the washes and introduce new people to wildfowling.
